Edavanna, situated near Manjeri in Malappuram district, is near the bank of Chaliyar River and became famous for its furniture business.
On 12 December 1923, a multipurpose monetary fund was started in the area of Edavanna Panchayath. Later this co-operative initiative registered as a Service Co-operative Bank under the Co-operative Act and started operations on 20 July 1964.
With various attractive schemes in deposits and loans, the bank provides immense support to its customers from the date of inception.
